Oh, I'm an old hand. Been to a few crypto parties. Just busy with other topics recently so couldn't attend over the last few months.
I've already let @cataspanglish know at the last meeting that I think it's getting more and more difficult, bordering on impossible, to cover all the flanks, if you want a maximum of privacy, if you have a life besides ITSec. Besides, as he rightly puts it "mainstream" devices are sooo 'bling'. 1/2

Case in point being data being sent to FB when using the Spotify app. How do you avoid that, without unsubscribing? Unless you go back to having your own music files (local or remote), there's a trade-off: if you want 100% protection you can, but you'll be taking yourself out of popular trends completely and going back to buying(?) music files.
Mind you, perhaps that's a better alternative to living in total transparency to the powers that be. 🤔 2/2

@cataspanglish but, jokes aside: I'm looking forward to you and @rafi0t providing useable, pragmatic alternatives for every singly one of my use scenarios at the next @PrivacySalonLux. I need alternatives to Google Maps (with full reviews on businesses in the vicinity or everywhere), a music subscription service that doesn't spy on me (and has songs by Strawberry Switchblade, basic!), a twitter alternative (oh, wait, found one!). I will update this post, as I go along 😎 @paolo

@buddhaah You see, we've already solved one of the issues with a local alternative to Twatter :-)
We'll find and test others so that we can slowly build up a selection that may satisfy you.
